About HTX Events
HTX Events is the parent company for all of the events listed below. The owner, Ron Stitt, is a familiar face to most people in the multi-sport community, and has been racing and producing running and triathlon events in the area for over 15 years.
He and his staff are committed to the entire athlete experience, from packet pickup to awards and beyond. Actually, it never really ends; we develop relationships with our athletes and treat them like family. Send us an email or message on social media, and we’re always happy to help!
The Bayou City Triathlon Series currently consists of three events held in and around the Houston area. They include:
The Lago Mar triathlon & duathlon takes place at the stunning Lago Mar Lagoon in Texas City. Crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and cycling/run courses on neighborhood streets. More Info
The Sylvan Beach Triathlon and Duathlon in La Porte features the Houston area’s only Olympic Distance Triathlon plus a Sprint distance triathlon course; both with a challenging open-water swim beginning on the beach. More Info
Houston’s oldest Half-Iron distance triathlon at Lake Conroe’s beautiful Margaritaville Resort in Montgomery County. The event now also features a Sprint-Distance event. More Info
One of the longest running triathlons in the Houston area; Cypress offers a challenging sprint course, duathlon, Houston’s only Doggie Duathlon, and a Youth event. More Info
The Bayou City Ladies Series features two women-only Triathlon/Duathlon events.
Held on Mother’s Day each year, this event features super-sprint, sprint, and duathlon options with an open-water swim in Lake Houston.
Featuring an open-water swim in the crystal clear waters of Lago Mar Lagoon, this race also features a lake-side run with a finish on the white sand beaches of Lago Mar.
HTX Road Races
This half marathon also offers a 5k and a kids 1k. Mostly flat fast course, great swag, and the best post-race party in town. More Info
